About Me

Heather Roberts

Personal Trainer - Pilates Instructor - Nutrition Specialist - Melt Method Instructor

My name is Heather Roberts.  I am a Certified Personal Trainer, Group Fitness Instructor, a Certified Pilates Instructor a Fitness Nutrition Specialist, and a certified MELT method instructor.  I live in Findlay, Ohio with my husband.

I began teaching group fitness in 1992 while attending university.  I fell in love with group exercise.  In 1994 I graduated from the University of Toledo with a bachelors in Biology and Health Education. While pursuing my teaching career I continued to teach group classes and began to train individuals.  In 2000 I  became a certified personal trainer through American Council on Exercise.  At this time I had our third child while living in England.  She was a large 10 pound baby and I was a petite 5'2" mom with a small waistline.  After delivery I was looking at surgery to help repair the split in my abdominal muscles known as diastasis recti. My midwife introduced me to Pilates exercises.  With determination I faithfully performed my exercises and was able to draw my abdominal muscles tighter and back to normal and forego the need for surgery.  I am living proof that Pilates works to keep your core fit and trim.  In 2002 I finished my Pilates training with Michelle Larson the founder of Core Dynamics in Santa Fe, New Mexico and founder of the Institiute for the Pilates Method.  More information at Michelle Larson

In 2013 I started my own personal training business called Balanced Body Fitness.  As a wife, a mother of four, a coach, and a fitness professional, I know how difficult it can be to find and maintain balance in life.  My goal is to help my clients achieve balance.  Physical, emotional, and spiritual balance create a body in harmony.  When people find balance they feel great, look great, and handle life's stresses.

Keeping current with the latest trends in the fitness industry is vitally important.  I recognize that staying innovative will help my clients maintain interest, motivation and coming back for more fun will ultimately help them achieve their goals.  I incorporate the Pilates equipment, bosu, UGI, bender ball, stability ball, free weights, bands and more into my client's exercise programs. I have recently added MELT Method therapy at the studio. This is a wonderful addition to your wellness plan keeping the fascia hydrated and the body moving good and feeling good.
